At the Other End

In the subway the lights will guide your path, but at the other end, it is dark and unpredictable. There is no telling what lies in wait. Therefore, it is always a good idea to have a torch at hand, as it will be a shining light in dark places when all other lights go out.

Silence

Taken on the streets of London during a very busy hour of the day, yet the picture gives the viewer the impression of an evacuated city - emptiness. As if the only thing you can hear is the sound of a rattling tin-can bobbling along the ground by a continuous rush of wind, and the swift, ever-changing, movement of the clouds as a symbol of an inevitable storm brewing.  And though you know you're alone, the expectation of a towing bell from the clock tower, is never heard, but the chime is created in the patiently waiting mind as a substitute. Then, the question beckons... "Where is everybody?"
